I analyzed the real workflow of vendor-payment managers, mapping how finance teams handled invoices, prioritized tasks, and managed payments before Cleo Pay. This helped uncover key bottlenecks such as manual data entry, scattered documents, repetitive steps, and missing integrations with required tax workflows. From there, I identified opportunities to streamline submission flows, reduce administrative effort, and remove unnecessary complexity to create a faster and more intuitive payment experience.
From these insights, the goal was to identify opportunities for new features that could drastically reduce the administrative workload, streamline submission flows, and make the entire payment experience faster, clearer, and free of unnecessary complexity.
Based on the findings, the project introduced solutions that significantly improved the speed and efficiency of invoice submission and management. One of the most impactful enhancements was the automatic invoice capture feature, allowing users to take a photo of a document and have the system extract and populate key fields instantly. This eliminated long manual typing steps and reduced errors throughout the process.
As a result, the payment workflow became noticeably faster and more intuitive, transforming a previously tedious task into a streamlined, reliable, and user-friendly experience that strengthens Cleo Pay’s value proposition and helps businesses save meaningful time each week.
Next projects.
